About the Background~
Menara Taming Sari which was opened on 18th April 2008 has become another unique attraction for Melaka. The tower is located in Jalan Melaka, Banda Hilir, one of the popular destinations for tourists.

Menara Taming Sari was the First Revolving “Gyro Tower” in Malaysia and this title is endorsed by Malaysia Book of Records. Menara Taming Sari started construction in August 2006. The original site for Menara Taming Sari is at the Melaka River Banks but due the recovery of the ancient artifact, the site was moved to Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah tennis court. The tower was built using Swiss technology & the only tower in the country to have a fully revolving structure. The air-conditioned viewing cabin will be able to accommodate 66 people at one time.

The tower offers a nice view of Melaka from the observation deck. Among the interesting & historical sites is Banda Hilir, Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka Straits, TUDM museum, Stadthuys, Saint Pauls Peak, Independence Memorial, State Mosque and Melaka Island. The ride experience will make the tower is a must visit destination to all.

Menara Taming Sari is managed by Melaka Taming Sari Bhd., subsidiary of Kumpulan Melaka Berhad which wholly owned by Melaka State government. The management of Menara Taming Sari will be organizing many interesting event throughout the year i.e. traditional shows and music to attract more visitors. Besides events, there is also interesting packages for Family, School Children, kids, disable & senior citizen.
